I boat. I boat ALOT. Always going somewhere, taking friends out, hanging at the beach ect. Pretty much everyday I'm on a boat.

Last weekend I pulled my crab pots out to start getting some crabs for this coming weekend. Now every night when my 2.5 year old gets home she comes running to me yelling "daddy! We go check crabbies?!"

And that 45 min with her and I going out on the boat, pulling two pots, watching her talk to her crabbies and count them is the most fun I've had on my boat I can remember.

I think letting them grow up on the water is the greatest place to grow up.

That is just fantastic--we need more of this and less of screens.

But--has she figured out yet that you are going to eat her crabbies this weekend?

I bet she will toss em right in the pot. Lol

I also have a minnow trap on my dock that we check every night. She pulls it up and gets so proud. Then we dump em out, she re baits it and tosses it back in for the next night.

Granddaughter got very upset when she realized the lunch she just ate were the "pet" crabs she caught earlier.

Used to take my son fishing. Even if we caught mostly turtles it was fun!

What a little cutie. Mine are 11F and 12M and while they are still fun to hang with, it was way more fun (for me) back then.

And when you are in the boat with her running down the river, she's screaming "faster daddy! faster!" Kids have no fear and love fast boats.......

Time invested now will make such a huge difference down the road. I wish we had more parents being parents and less dependence on electronics as baby sitters. Beautiful little girl with a caring father. Good for you.

Good parenting makes good children and good adults later down the road. My dad took me everywhere. I grew up on the water. Didn't have time to go get in to trouble. I was always fishing, throwing a net, in the woods, etc. I did the same.

God job man! Enjoy it now. Soon you'll look up and she'll be 31.

That's her 100%. She knows where the no wake zone ends, sits down in her chair and says "go fast daddy!"
