We had ANOTHER truck go down the ramp here last week. About 3-4 a year! Always a treat to watch the noobs trying to figure out how to do it. Add some booze and drugs and wow. Worst is idiots yelling instructions at the poor wife....Marine patrol just sits at the ramp hidden and watches for the ones that seem buzzed. It keeps them busy.

I agree on the poor wife or girlfriend scenario. I have never been amused by drunks and have a tough time tolerating them at this point in my life.

Last weekend my son was driving at the ramp and I was in the boat, he came close to a curb and I yelled, "hey, you need to take the corners wider you almost clipped the curb". The truck in front of him had a lady struggling trying to back down and she said "this is my first time, please don't tell me how to do it". She thought I was yelling at her. Felt like a schmuck.

ANY boat ramp here in Tampa during the Gasparilla invasion is awesome,and an absolute zoo, it also happens to be one of about 3 days a year I REFUSE to boat in Tampa Bay.
The ramp on Davis Island where I grew up is a great place to pull up a chair and watch.
