Years ago I played with a Merc V6 outboard motor in a small boat with water pump (jet) drive, is that what your asking about?

Definitely not gonna break any speed records on the boat with a jet lower. 20% power loss just using the jet

Huh, it's more like 40% power loss. However you can always stick a lower unit on it and fly
