Whats the fastest 22 so far? you can bet that its just about to be shattered (130 is within reach now). We will have a other boats in the water when this deal goes out for the first time.

I ordered a 38" x 15.25" five blade Hill cleaver for it. With the 1.60 case at 6400, it comes out to 143 mph before slip. That prop on a 21-22 Liberator only sees 4% slip, so I'm guess 130 is attainable. The 300R has run 113-114 on a 21. I ran 129 in my twin flamed 21 Liberator and it felt like it was on rails so 130 should not have any handling issues.

130 with single 450 on a 22 would be sweet on 87 was talk about a 450 on my 22 twister vs twin 260,s in my next life

Dangggggg - 450 single on a 22'. All the bass boat guys are gunna drool. I wonder how many of those fishin companies are eyeballing the 450.
Imagine it on an aluminum Lund!

The 450 will be at my dealer Tuesday. I'll get it when I get back from out of town on the 9th. I'll finish the paint on the 22 next week. I also have 7 300R's coming next week. Gonna be an expensive week! 450's take 89 octane gas. I don't believe anyone or even Mercury has put a single 450 on a boat yet. Maybe they want me to be the first to die!

Damn! I was "hooked" in my basic toddler years over when first heard a DockBuster IL6, across the lake. Then my brother a Baby Switzer, 20 H, Years of Mercs to my XS1500. But I tell ya RIGHT NOW! Merc STILL "gets it", performance and STYLE! My bud has new 27 Speedster, twin 400R's...(either I shrunk. or them motors are MASSIVE!_)

Any idea how fast it will go?

WILDMAN
08-07-2019, 07:35 PM
I'm guessing 130+. The 300R's run 112-113. 38" Hill 5 blade cleaver and a 1.60 case. Slip has been 4% on the V8's with the Hill cleaver. At 4% slip, that comes out to 137 at 6400

Wildman, I'm not a fan of yellow but man that thing is nice. That picture from the back makes that motor look huge compared to the boat

It should be close. You have been that fast with the same hp 20 yrs ago. Be safe keep us posted.
