Trim Pump Bleeding Down Slightly

Hello all, I’m having a problem with my Mercury trim pump. If you trim the motor up and then go to the back of the boat, you can hear the trim pump moaning/growling and I can see the motor going down very slowly for about 2” and then the noise from the trim pump stops and then the motor stops going down. It’s bleeding down every time but not completely, only for about 2 inches and it’s accompanied by that sound from the trim pump. ANY IDEAS??? Thanks

Guy was having problems like yours and a leaking ram. For the ram lowering he found that his manual release was open. Might be worth checking to see if it is open.

THANKS....it’s actually leaking ATF in the boat, I wonder if there’s a manual release on the trim pump itself....gonna go check it out ASAP
