Hey S&F picked this up last November from a member on here, smooth transaction by the way and pretty much wrapped her for the cold Canadian winter.
Wife calls it the Rainbow Boat ......Can you say Y.M.C.A

I built 2 Yamaha HPDI over the winter, ported to 300 specs and running 300 ECm’s. Pulled her out of storage this weekend “is he first one this year that we have had 60 degrees and sun for 2 consecutive days” and hung the motors on the jack plates.
Started Sunday feather edging where canvas snaps were fibre glass puttied over, easy peasy.
Got the shop vac out and gave her a quickie, unfortunately that’s the only quickie I’m gonna get from this girl !
The cabin headliner was hanging so propped that up and vberths cleaned up nice carpet on floor was squishy so peeled it up and tossed it till I need it for template
BUT....floor in vberth kinda felt hollow and cabin doors dragged in cockpit carpet when doors open.
Oops now pics won’t load. If there is enough interest I’ll continue to update but if not I won’t bore you guys.
I’m more a motor guy and have never touched resin except in its solid state. Fortunately the transom and floor upto the dash is solid
Bought the wife an industrial sewing machine and sweet talking her into redoing interior......LOL
Wish Me Luck !!!

I had a 25 footer 20 years ago. Two 200 Mercs (2.4s) on Gil brackets. Did about 72 MPH. What a great boat, wish I still had it. Never any ill handling problems at all. Maybe at 90mph might be a problem like any pad bottom. Good luck with the restoration, you will love the boat.

Bill, did you get it from Seebold that way? He had a picture of one with 20” motors on Gil brackets when I was at his shop. Red and white boat I believe.

Yes it did come from Seebold like that. It was red and white with some blue trim. Sounds like it could have been our boat.

Thanks Bill, some pics would be awesome ! Do you recall setup details? 20” or 25” mids, pitch props, turning in or out ? Anything you recall would be helpful as a starting point. Senn

I had 24" pitch stainless 3 blades. 20 inch mids. I forget which way we had the props but I will download some pictures which should show this. The motors were turning about 6100 rpms at 72mph. I tried nose cones which actually were a little slower. I guess I should have raised the motors for the nose cones but 72 was fast enough.

After looking at the pictures again it looks like they were 25 inch mids. I have to scan the photos and try to post on S&F. I might have to send to your e-mail if I can't post them

That’s me, some years and pounds ago.
Yes, 25” mids on 4” fixed jacking plates. 26 Choppers turning inboard at about 58-5900 showing 74 normally, 76 was my best. Picked up 3-4mph by turning the props inboard but handling suffered a bit.

A few more pics of the Seebold. Keep in mind this was a single 454 stern drive from the factory.

447048447049447050447051Got some paint on her this weekend, gonna finish stripping rear seat framing out, tidy interior and rig the Yamahas, run it poker run style to see how it does with the 20” motors as both Smokey and Bill had theirs set up with 25’s. Be a bit of work yet as boat is rigged for Merc
