I've gotten hooked on S&F so the more I read the more I learn what I don't know. Not new to fast boats just out of date big time. If someone would take the time to post the characteristics of different propellers it would be a big help to me and I think others too. For instance which give best bow lift, over the hub vs thru hub, rake, # of blades. Thanks

Thanks, good start there, now which props have what characteristics is next. Appreciate the help.

Generally:
round ears lift the bow
cleavers lift the stern
more blade area provides more lift but requires HP to turn fast
4 blades are easier to learn on Allisons (chine walking must be learned)
Small diameters are easier to learn on Allisons (see above)

Do you have a boat or application in mind?

I just tried a 24 Drag 4 on my SS2000 - does it show?
