Ebay 8 pin harness has no key switch

Want to fire up my 2.4 dry, lower u off. end of harness has 1 purple, 1 red,1yell/red,1yell/black. im thinking, red to purple for ign. then add yellow/red for cranking, yellow /blk for choke[if needed] i have my 2 big power leads, hooked to a new 12 bat. its an efi so red to purple i should hear f-pump kick on? harness has a small 1/2 moon plug also. is that for front of control box to my dash gauges?am i correct on these connections? my last flectrical project didnt go so well.... killed my injector hot lead, but im not givin up motor runs too strong to collect dust. ANY TIPS would be really helpfull, thanks guys.

Better ad a blk/yel if ya want to shut it off. Yes the half moon thing is gauges. Why no blk/yel in harness? I think the older ones used orange for kill.

4) Blk Ground (12V Neg)
5)Gry "Tach signal"

there may be other wires with bullet connectors for power trim and various gauges
