Yup it should probably be closed top surface, cant see why its open like that for any performance reason but theres tons os safety risk without a guard/cover.

I saw a guy riding one of these on Lido Beach one day. Looks like a lot of fun but I need 4 wheels.

Theres nothing wrong with a un guarded single wheel at all! AS LONG AS IT ON A BOAT!:eek:;):D
