Hi all, I have the opportunity to buy a set of heads that are described as SST120 heads that are machined to 26 cc

I have two questions.

1. Will this result in too much compression on my project powerhead ? It is a 1988 2.0L 135 powerhead, I already have a horizontal front and a set of WH22 carbs for it. I measured the port heights and they were at 1.61-1.62, I was planning on leaving the porting alone for now.

2. Do the heads look ok? (see pictures) Why would there be circle-like marks in the chambers?

Thanks in advance.

With the low porting it is going to be up there, what fuels do you have readily availiable?

We have 98 RON readily available here (Netherlands), which is similar to 93 in the USA I believe.

1.545 is the spec for 120 you will probably end up a bit over 160 psi with the fishing motor port height. If the owner will let you bolt one to the motor to check that would be to your benefit.

Thanks for the advice, I will skip this for now and probably cut my current heads to about 28cc when I'm ready. I cannot bolt them to the motor as it is currently disassembled. I will probably make a new topic for the rebuild when my boat is ready, it will be my first rebuild/modifying of a motor, which is why I first want to leave porting alone.
