What is the difference between this and a Series 2?

The 2004 had one issue, the wrist pins would elongate then the snap rings would fall out and the wrist pin would work it’s self out till it caught a port and break a piston out of nowhere with no sign. Or ever single year HPDI pops a piston from clogged filters because the Yamaha 32 micron onboard filter wasn’t installed on the boat. This motor was completely rebuilt with WSM coated pistons the eliminated the wrist pin issue (Yamaha fixed in the series 2 hpdi in 2007) and it has always had regular filter services. In term the most reliable motor I have ever owned.
