We are taking a group of boats over to the show today and getting dinner on the water if anyone is interested in joining. You can beach off to the left of the event. If you have never been there, you owe it to yourself to see what this show attracts from all over the country and Canada. It is one of the premier wooden boats shows in the U.S. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqAaR286L74

My Wife Loved the area,:D found a nice parcel of waterfront property, the house was built in 1938, needs to be gutted and totality updated, time will tell ...

Right up my ally

What a perfect couple days of boating. That chain of lakes is great. There are a bunch of waterfront stops, beautiful launch areas, you can access downtown Travares, Mt. Dora, and Eustis all by boat and a short walk. The best part is the fact that it is a proactive boating chain with lots of activities and there is a ton of area to cover so you don't feel like you are running in a circle. We are very spoiled to have this and the St. Johns so close in central FL. I am more and more impressed every time we go over there.

There is NO other part of Florida like it, not a straight road anywhere hills Fl mountains up to 300 feet above sea level, monster moss covered oaks.

Spent the last 3 weeks there and looked everywhere and finally found close to 1/2 acre, 10 yr old house in a ranch area close to everything. The show was fun also! Can't wait to get settled!
