I wanted to know if there is any interest in this motor. I bought the boat last summer. The boat was always used in fresh water, but I took it out in the ocean 4 times. I thoroughly flushed and rinsed the motor. The title and the guy I bought it from says it is a 1984, but the serial number is coming up as a 1988. Serial-0B384005 Model-1175412BD It is not the prettiest thing to look at, as you can see from the pictures. The motor runs pretty good. It does turn off sometimes when idling under load, and the RPM's float around at slow speeds. I have a few extra things controls, oil tank, oil, service manual, the prop, etc. $600.00

$900.00 I will haul the boat to Moncks Corner if you have some way to lift the motor off. It comes with the controls and cables (not the steering cable), 2 gallons of unopened synthetic Quick Silver oil plus about one in the tank, SEI water pump kit, service manual, and prop. Thanks for your interest.

Is this the motor that was listed on craigslist for $375.00 in December?

No, I have not listed it on craigslist yet.

In the vid you provided it looks like you aren't getting an accurate comp reading because the throttles aren't opened up. Any idea of # of hours this has on it?

Yea, I should of had it open. I will try it again when I get time. I don't have any idea how many hours are on it. Is there any way to tell?

I am pretty sure it is, but not 100%. I can't find where they made any other sizes. Can you tell from the serial or model number? I can take pictures of anything on the motor that might answer your question.

Thanks for your advice. I rechecked the compression with the throttle open, and it raised the readings. The motor is no longer for sale.

The originals were between 100-110, and with the throttle open they were between 110-120. Maybe I turned the motor over a few more times. The strange thing is there is no direct relationship between the first and second test.
