Injection inquiry

280 injects port side and a 300x injects starboard side. Does it matter? Given an alternative means of piling, Would it be more beneficial to have the injector as close as possible to the intake port?

NO it does not matter, which side. you are forgetting, that on these motors, you have to have primary comp., in crankcase. to be able to transfer fuel mix into combustion chamber, & also oil crank & rods.
