Thanks to all who replied to my previous posts!! Anyone care to comment on brand preferences regarding nose cones and hydrojacks? Land and Sea has a nosecone for Black Max with a speedo pick up in it that would seem to work great on a Vector. However in Bob's literature they claim a better speed increase with their cone based on a comparison in a bass magazine. Also it seems that Land and Sea's hydrojack has the least amount of setback(great for the Vector) but it is darn near double the price of Bob's. Any comments?????What is a CLE?
Also, is there any way to take the play out of dual Rideguide Racks? I can rock the wheel side to side quite a bit. Are there bushings on the shaft? Should I just bunch the whole setup and go hydraulic? Thanks for any help as I am putting together a shopping list. Maybe I will find some end of summer specials!!!!!!

I have seen both jacks and Bob's is a nice unit. It is faster than any other on the market the only problem is the pump has to be mounted inside the boat and if you have limited space in the bilge you may not have enough room for it. Every one has their theory on whos nose cone is the fastest, I look at the amount of water flow that comes thru the cone. I flow the inlets of the Bob's cone and get excellent water flow thru them. The length of the lower unit, the shape of the cone all of this may be important to some one that is tring to knock of 1/100th of a second off an E.T. but to the average boater you will not be able to tell any difference.

Center your wheel, loosen the nuts on the front cable tube and pull like a mother. Adjust the nuts to hold the tube in the new position and go. LF
