We have a group of boats attending the Classic Raceboat gathering at Lake Dora on Saturday and will take a ride on the Harris chain of lakes for lunch. Hope to see some more people join us.

We had a great day. Kory decided that he likes driving the STV for the first time. We didn't get to watch as much of the races as I would have liked (our lunch took a long time), but the Harris chain is a great place to run and it was flat.

I saw both of those Switzer wings on a flatbed trailer heading north on 95 yesterday, was wondering where they came from.

I think there were four of them (one had a pair of V-6 motors on speedmasters) the others had inlines with open mega phones. All I can say is "newer is better"-he was quiet and fast. This is a cool event but they have no public support. My guess is that there were less then a hundred spectators. It again unfortunately proves that we are a dying breed-we need to get kids exposed to performance boating if we expect it to stay around.

You'd have to make the couch into a boat to get kids out the house, oh and use the iPad for smart craft. Lol. I still remember boat racing growing up in La, my grandma property and boat ramp was where it was held, everything from homemade wood flat boats to Allison's. Best times ever
