Need two sheets of 1/2" for my bracket project but cant find rigid sheets, only the scored/flexible which takes wayy too much resin.

Checked all my sources w/no success.

Thanks guys!

Aircraft Spruce has 2" x 4" x 3' long blocks... they say you can rip them down and glue them up to make what you want (if you don't find what you really want). https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/wppages/balsa.php

Couple of sources, not sure if you will be able to get in the smaller qty you are looking for, but worth a try:

Two points.

To the nay sayers, u don’t catch the point that I’m re-rigging a ‘1986 boat that is balsa core w/zero rot.
Hummmmmmm......,,

To my normal defense of wood in boats construction.
The problem ain’t the wood.

Thanks for the link to the rest of you.
A couple of them I already checked, the others I will.

Dawned on me yesterday..., how bout the people that built my boat, that are now only 45 mins from house??
They still use balsa as they always have but under new ownership, only order material for a boat as it’s sold.
No more inventory on hand.

Geewizz that makes too much sense. You'd think they'd have it.

Try these people... I bought some of my stuff from them, and they do sell rigid sheets, although shipping might be kind of high.

Motor board will be 1 1/2” of plywood.

Bracket on last Sonic was built that way.

I had to restore it after destroying mounting flange removing it and rotted balsa core on platform due tooooooo......, idiots not sealing exposed core when the cut the holes for the inspection covers.
Doh!

Laminate some with carbon. Be stiff as a 23 y/o on Viagra.
