I've got a new merc bearing that is still in the package, and I don't know what it goes to, (gearcase, standard or CLE, or motor, and where?)

I can't find it in any of my part #'s.

It is 31-817072.

I'm sure some of you know right off the top of your haeds where it goes.

I have all my CLE parts in a big tupperware type box, but this was in another location, could it be to the CLE bearing carrier?

That part # goes to the little propshaft needle bearing in the bearing carrier of a CLE gearcase. hope this helps.

Thats what I was thinking, I wonder how I let it get seperated from the rest of my CLE parts?

When you say "little" do you mean the 1.250 dia. shaft?

Thats what I have.

Thanks for the reply!
