Hey guys, a good friend has got a 2016 3.2 300xs. this is a Jet motor so no gearcase too keep in mind. We are at witts end with this thing and we need some help and i know somebody on here has got to have had this problem. any help is very appreciated!!

The 300 has had this problem now since spring. it flat out does not run like it did. You can throw new plugs in it and a new map sensor and you will get about 2 passes at 100%. then it fouls out the plugs and the MAP is covered in oil.? the rpm is not where it should be ,with the pump it was turning about 62-6400, and now is knocked down to 5700-5800. it is like the motor has no constistancy and nobody can seem to figure it out.

let me start off by saying that we have replaced plugs (numerous times), map sensors, all fuel diaphragms, tpi sensors, injectors, cleaned entire fuel system, essentially anything and everything that 3 different merc dealers have thought to do. we know it has not lost compression, and engine throws no codes.

whats been done to her- it has a DBR ecu flash, lightweight flywheel, Hydrotech Tuner, Velocity stack, and a poppet valve.

The motor ran 100% early this spring and then we lost it and cant seem to get it back. Thanks in advance!!

Check your thermostats. Sounds like one or both may be stuck open. Same thing happened to mine. Was a beech to figure out.

Lot of oil in the plenum sounds like blowback from the reeds.......Oil is injected downstream of the plenum so why is it there? Just a guess...

My 300xs always had a slight amount of oil at bottom of intake... my guess under 2oz.

Check oil bleeding system hoses, check valves and reeds.
I would also try it with stock ECM since oil pump is ecm controlled
