I just finished the new 22 last week, so I'm starting a new 21 Liberator today. Spent all day sanding it down. I'll start taping tomorrow. Gonna be white with red and black.

XS or R power?

Depends what the buyers wallet decides! There is a $5000 difference

I started taping today. Decided on a "scsllop" design. First step is to tape out the shapes I like. After the first side is done, I make a template so I can flip it over and make the other side symetric. I use a template on the curves in front and measure the lengths of the points. I continue to do this on the rest of the boat. Next I use 2" masking tape to tape off the areas that don't get paint. I'll paper the bigger areas. This is just the first color which will be black.

I forgot to mention that I weighed the boat yesterday. Bare hull was 1063 lbs.

More taping today. Front will be red with black outlines. Rear will be all black with red outlines. Rear is reverse taped. The scallops are white

Looking good - I find myself liking more and more the metalflake look on boats, especially when its a mix of old school and new school, something Randy seems to do quite well with - keep the pictures coming sir.

I got the black on this afternoon. I could not wait till tomorrow, so I untaped the back section. Hard to see the red flake until it's cleared and outside.

I untaped the boat today. Still need to sand it all down then clearcoat. Then the clear will be sanded until the graphics cannot be felt, them I'll clear coat again. Then the boat will be wetsanded and buffed 3 times with different grit compound. You can see in the 4th pic that I have marked any small imperfections. These will get touched up before clear coating.

Just got it out of the paint booth. I tried to take pics showing the red flake.

@wildman Randy all of your work is incredible, and this one is one of my favorites. The colors and lines of the design are perfect for that boat. Your work is just phenomenal, as always!

Grinded and sanded down the rear transom area today. I will paint it with Awlgrip epoxy paint tomorrow. Cleans up much easier than webbed gelcoat

Really?!!! That is nice to know. I was wondering how well that would adhere.

Fantastic work!!! I used to love to stripe and paint, boats, cars, and aircraft. I did that for 15 years or so and miss it!

I got the boat back on the trailer today. This trailer uses a new "smooth radius" aluminum double wall C-channel. It cost more, but looks pretty cool. Here is also some better pics of the red flake in the sun.

I took the new 21 to the lake today for it's first "shakedown" cruise with a new 300R. All these motors have to run about 2 hours before they will let you take them to the limiter. For some reason, this one took full rpms right away! I ran it about 45 minutes before I started 30 second passes on my little 1.25 mile long test lake. This boat hauls ass!. 40-104 in 20 seconds every single pass! It was just me and 20 gallons of 87 octane. Here's a video. Maybe someone can embed it for me.

I just finished this new 21 Liberator with Mercury 300R V8 yesterday. I ran it today for the first time. It was pretty windy, but still ran 110 with a 34" Mercury CNC prop. Now for sale with every option for $68,900. This boat and more at Liberatorpowerboats.com (http://liberatorpowerboats.com/?fbclid=IwAR0ACFrQBgS_t-Ms_1gMurMgRXUfBZKPkm11vBeB4496WYmKLkH1NpxUYFM)

Hi Randy what's a prop like that cost? I've got your Harley boat with 300X. How does it get out of the hole i've got a bunch of jets on my lake.
thanks Barry
