Merc vs OMC prop hubs

Hey guys, I just got an 88 Johnson GT150 and looking to replace it's aluminum prop with something better. I have a pile of Merc choppers, but none will slip all the way down the shaft. Seems I remember something about boring the hub for an OMC, but I'd swear one of these props was run on an OMC before. Do all of the crossflow OMC's have the same prop shaft?

Get yourself a nice one inch hole saw and drill the splines out of the Hub from the entry side. No biggie.
