My story in the other thread happened in 1974 not 72 because I remember this happening the same year , as I was driving around the inside of the track guys started rocking my 70 Vette and I was scared to death because I heard stories of cars being stolen and burned, later that day they burned the Greyhound and I remember a guy was dancing on top of the bus as it burned.

I conned my sister and her boy friend to take me to my first Grand Prix in 1968, he had a new Opel GT a two seat car, I had to lay down in the back, they bought me a 12 pack and I walked around the whole race track drinking warm beer ( that's the way my Dad always drank his beer )
