Buddy mine hit something in his Eliminator with twin 400 Verados. One prop pretty bent up, chuck missing from one blade (of 5). Damn, its a brand new boat! And props are $1800 each. Fixable? Thoughts? I say not because of now stress cranks seen or not. Worse to lose a blade at speed. Boat..

Call Dave and ask him, if not give him the # on the prop, and tap the piggy bank. "Bummer"

Have a technician check out the gear case also.

And tell him to call the insurance company if he doesn't wanna pay out of pocket

Theres more to the story here! He didn't hit something at speed, but coming up to a friend mine beached on a Island here. High tide. Thing is lost the prop, as either not put on right or who knows. But went back low tide and found it! Its all I know more later as both them going to Hawaii for a week. Machinist me,and I will check the shaft for bent with a dial indicator. Don't know if anything under warranty, but hitting something? Dunno yet. Anyway, pick the prop found. Calling junk..
Sorry sideways pic, I didn't take it.

looks like a 5 blade prop and you must have one High/low Tide for the bow to go in at High Tide, lose a prop and find it at low Tide.

We get tides swing here -3 to +18 at times, every 6 hours. Can't get to a Island low tide, high OK. Just get the hell out before tide change. In front me the bay at spring low tide a DAMN ISLAND shows up! Fun to watch out the window some dumbass in a rag boat ignore the damn red buoy and skeg gets hung up, stuck, and tide goes out! Have to sit there 5 hours at a 45 degree angle until tide in and float off. We are the very bottom Puget Sound, and the swings are amazing!
Pic are marina low tide. |My slip second out far finger dock facing water). High? Walkway and main level! Gotta love the PNW!

Robby,

I don't doubt you and it is amazing you could find the prop. Inland we just watch the water go down in the Reservoirs and you will never find anything again.

Sittin here watching OBX get spanked with up to 13 ft Swells......Not sure how the hell you east coast people pull it all off. Where the hell do you hide the boatand who the hell has a house high enough to out last 13 ft swells.

Puts a new meaning to
