This Talon is going from Florida to Idaho next week. Here's som pics of the shrink wrapping. I had my wife take pics of me heating it with a 350,000 BTU torch, but none of the pics were in the camera when I looked. Maybe she didn't turn it on!

Great idea with the padding under the wrap. Never saw that done before. Also like the big black bug killer on the back. Should take out a lot of those nasty flying things on the trip. :-)

Padding keeps it from sticking..... people with painted hulls and decks really need it. I'm sure he will throw a cover on the engine or shrink wrap it too......

He is thorough - the cloth really is necessary to stop the scuffing/abrasion of the shrink against the finish while in transit . Every step of the build /rig to ship he does well from what I have seen . True professional - thanks

The padding looks like you raided the linen cloest?. Boy are you going to be in trouble!!.lol
That shrink wrap stuff is cool stuff. We used to order up a 200 lb roll and do are sport fish boats Up here in michigan for the winter. After a few years we decieded that being 15+ feet up on a fly bridge waying a flame thrower around maybe was more for the younger guys. We would take the larger scrap peices and melt them together and do all are smaller tenders like whalers and sea doo's.
I also love the shrink wrap tape. Its good for everything and sticks very well. I use it more than duct tape.
I see a lot of shrink wrap up here and for being in a no snow area where its not used much you did a awesome job

Yeah I raided the linen closet, but didn't have enough. The wife actually went to Walmart and bought me more sheets. I didn't even ask her! Sheets are cheaper than a messed up paintjob.

We had a boat come down from up north one year, a 55 footer. The shrink wrap tape was put on over the boot stripe, we had to paint a new boot strip onto it.....
Some dummies will put it on the names too....... I've seen it lift wraps as well.
