Recently got a 2.5 promax that has a 2piece plate and is running no poppet valve. Is this ok to run this way, or do I need to put a poppet valve on it? Thanks

Absolutely should have thermostats and a poppet valve

POPPIT is cast into block lower side are u sure its a pmax block? how can you just add a poppit. m, aybe im misunderstanding u a 2 pc adaptor uses a poppit , some have a dump hose going back in plate on port side, some have no hose. i have both types

Yes, if it has no poppit valve the t-stats are probably MIA also!
