2.5 EFI 1in spacer problem

Has anyone added a 1in spacer and had problems because the air horn was to close to the cowling. When I cruise at like 5000 the boat runs perfect but if I floor it the motor falls on its face and acts like it wants to die until I back off the throttle then it is fine. So I am not sure if it is a lack of air or fuel.

What cowl are you running. There shoud be a big hole in the front.

If you think it's a cowl problem, have you tried running it with the cowl off to see if the problem goes away?
