I sold my old 89' Vegas XT about 5 years ago to a guy up around New York. I was just wondering if it's still out on the water, and how it was holding up...and where it's at now. It had a 3.0 Looper on the back. The Hockey Stick graphics on it were pretty rare....I've only seen one other Vegas like it (Pyros).

Well, I did a little research. Found the guy (thanks Facebook) who currently owns the boat. I kind of turns my stomach a little bit.......the guy I sold it to 5 year ago put it in salt water for a couple of years, and just abandoned it. It ended up at some boat salvage/repair facility with a couple of inches or barnacles on the bottom, and a rotted out floor and weathered interior. The guy who's got it now found it in disrepair, and picked it up. He's in the process of getting it back to a seaworthy condition. I wish him the best of luck, that will be fun boat for him.
Kind of interesting to hear the story of what it's gone through in the last 5 years....also makes me a little sick that someone could destroy such a nice boat in just a few years. :nonod:

Some people have no concern for maintenance at all. Zero
Post some pics of it in its current state if you can. Would be good to see its disrepair and journey back to glory

Sad story that was a pretty boat. Tell him to plan on doing a core if it was in he water long enough to get barnacles.

Someone else owns the boat now.......so I don't have any way to take pictures of it. To be honest, I'm not sure I want to even see what kind of shape it's in. :nonod:
