pretty long thread that gets pretty off topic as to why or why not the 300R can or can not be compared to the 300XS...

I'm trying a few more props this week, including a $5000 Mercury CNC 5 blade cleaver. It's definitely faster than the 300xs.

How does it feel versus a 300x?

Paul,

Those are age pellets flying out off the boat "coming out of Randy's ears" can't you see what this does to us-makes us turn into a kid again...

Funny how when we are young that we want to grow up so bad, and then when we get old we want to re-live the past. My life long love affair with boats has always been a therapy of sorts and has created an unbelievable amount of memories and friendships (be thankful everyday that we have our health and continue doing what you love)...

Joe I have been trying to follow the testing of the 300R on the Liberator 21 since I have that very same boat with the 300xs on it. I am curious when going to the 1:62 from the 1:75 how many prop pitch is that equal to? Thanks for all the insight on the new 300r, I think I'm going to wait till they make a 450 before I jump in.

1.62 and 1.75 are pretty much equal to a 2 degree prop difference. Just a word of caution, the 21 is much more on edge at speed then guys might think. Randy has pulled the windshield off and with that little bit of down force removed from the equation, the boats will become flighty. The big motors "if and when they come" are going to be unreal but they are going to bite ya' hard if you aren't set up for them. My LCB is not getting rigged until I know for sure what and when will come next so I am in the same box as you. Again, just going to have to drive with our heads not our hearts and egos or people are going to die.

Speed is not an issue if rigged properly. My twin 280 21 Liberator ran 129 like it was on Rails. A 1.75 case needs 2" more pitch

And driven correctly. No one has more combined time in a 21 then you, only a few ever get the checkmate to run into the mid 90s like you do as well. My point it that guys are going to need to use their heads if and when we get a chance strap on the big power.
