Got a 96 225 carburetor mercury. After a long run, when I idled down it was skipping and had little power. Finally got it back up on plane, no skip and run fine. Got home and put muffs on it. It is huffing out the number 4 carburetor. What could be the problem. Compression runs 105-110 on all cylinders. Thanks.

Could had sucked up some trash maybe? Clean carbs and take a peek at reeds with flash lite while carbs are being serviced

Got a reed broke and gone. Is this something to worry about finding or did it get spit out the exhaust side. 412830

Scoped it last night. No sign of the reed. Top of piston looks fine. Maybe it spit it on out.
