Hey guys- Have a buddy who is converting from an OB to a jet. He is offering me up all of his steering, trim components, and props for a good deal.

My question is I currently have dual cable rack and pinion steering setup on my 19 foot Bahner with a black max. What does it take and is it worth the hassle to do the conversion from mechanical cable steering to hydraulic steering. It is a Sea Star Pro steering system.

He also has a Land N Sea hydraulic jack plate. Any input on these jackplates would be appreciated as well!

You will need to have the correct cylinder for your motor and the correct length hoses. If those parts are not compatible with your motor/boat then you’re essentially just getting the helm.
