I am putting a pair of 300xs engines on a new boat. The boat has Gaffrig twin stick controls (look like livorsi but are gaffrig). I see a neutral safety switch on each of the transmission shifters. It appears to have three places to connect wires. I was thinking there should only be two, one for each of the yellow w red stripe wires. What am I missing here?

They use generic micro switches. Put it in neutral and the two that have continuity are the ones you want to use.

I like to be able to start in gear. Others may not agree...

I like to be able to start in gear. Others may not agree... We all agree, in that case, bypass the safety switch with a hidden pus button switch
