Any Mazda guys here?

Friend has a Mazda MX-5 2010. Keyless system stopped working, leaning towards faulty FOB's. Is there a diagnostic routine to check the module? found one online but don't know if it works on a 2010 model,,,,, says to turn the ignition on and off 4 times and push the jamb button three times, I do this and nothing happens.

I have an 04 Mazda 6 and both my fobs went bad almost at the same time. The diagnostic didn’t work either. Got new ones from an eBay seller, been working good.

Yeah, both FOB's went out relatively close in time.... but when you put new batteries in them, they both go dead within a week.

Make sure you are using new batteries , i had a fob problem , turned out batteries were junk.

Batteries on the after market are suspect got a fob from amazon and when I drove down the road the door locks when up and down wound up being the battery.
