anyone know what happens if you run omc d series jets when the motor calls for c series.

I heard they are different threads, so you couldn't. Never seen it myself, just what I was told.

yep but how does it effect performance, if at all. I am sure there is a reason for designing an orifice to flow fuel a specific direction, just not sure what difference it makes.

It would probably run lean. Jets are usually have a cone shape, where the fuel enters the large end and it tappers down to the orifice and then flares on the exit of the orifice. That's why you are suppose to use a jet reamer and not drill them to make one larger.
