Will a 150 johnson lower unit work on my 225 johnson? blew my lower unit

Yep just check drive shaft length and change shift rods....

ok perfect yes the one is a long shaft 25 inch and mine is short shaft 20inch but i think im just gonna swap drive shafts ran mine without gear oil and now its not turning well
