I am looking at a used 1999 200 EFI. Sometimes when reading an ad for a used Mercury V-6 EFI I will read "only 212 hours" or some specific hour figure. I'm sure they are hooking up the diagnostics and reading the hour quantity. How can I do this or get it done?
Thank you

Take it to a Merc dealer they will hook up and tell you.

Some non dealers may also be able to scan for you.

It will only tell you how many hours are on the ecm. Verify the serial number in the ecm vs the serial number of the block...
