My first twin 350 Verado CC fishing Cat reached a peak of 70 mph. Generally cruises at 55 mph.
I used the front mount and because the engines are 96" apart made my own Carbon fiber tie bar.
Both engines had steering rams. After 1000 hrs., all good.

I have a quad under construction. Its a fishing boat, so the advantage of quads may be similar fuel economy at cruise, very much faster top speed, fast cruise if you lose one or two engines. The advantage of the front tie bar is the ability to lift an engine only 26" away easily, the back tie bar seems problematic.

I am not arguing the strength merits of the back and front tie bar mount, its obvious.

Because our hulls are symmetrical each engine pair on each hull will be counter rotating. One steering ram for each pair.
I view the tie bar as keeping the engines in alignment. Tried the liquid tie bar, not acceptable.

The tie bar that comes with the kit seems strong enough to lift a house.

Has anyone seen a front tie bar arm mount fail?
