I have an 89 Ranger 364v 17' 10" with a deck extension out of treated plywood. Bolted on the back is a 6" bobs action jac, and on that we have a 92 evinrude 175 hp 60 looper. Right now I have a 4 blade 13 1/2" 25 pitch renegade bass prop moving her around at a safe 5400 rpm and 53 mph on gps with one tank of gas 2 155 lb men and fully stocked for a tourney. On my own I've seen 57.5 ish and one half tank of gas. At that point the front end got very light and started lifting on me lol. Last week with both of us and both tanks full I saw 55. I found it odd that I gained speed with weight. Any particular reason I would see that by adding weight to the back? I would like more speed. The boat comes on plane and up to 20 mph in seconds. So I'm fine with losing some holeshot. I was thinking of switching to a 3 blade but I'm new to proping boats and I'm not sure if I need bow or stern lift or of course which pitch. So any info would be greatly appreciated!

I have a Ranger 365v with a 175 Johnson gt cross flow. 10 inch jack plate 3 blade raker 26 pitch. Light load I have seen 64.5 gps at 5500 rpm. Full tournament load with my partner about 61. The boat is 17.10ft 1991. Full front deck duel console.

IMO you will see more speed from a 24 Raker2 when loaded as getting the engine up to 57/5800 will put it into its power band. Rangers also need to get the nose light for speed.
