I have a 2.4 200 under a 2.5 xri cowl, even tho cowl is bigger than clam shell Air box won t go back on, put on the right way it's bout half inch to wide at the bottom , I'm wondering if I flip it over where thin part is at bottom it mite work? But the 2 bumps in air box r different sizes. If flipped over would it cause a tune prob? Or possibly cut a half in out of big bump on air box and mold it back together and sand smooth and repaint? I'm really wanting run air box so I dnt have worry bout being to lean. Just wondering if anyone else been thru this issue thanks

I believe you can pull the air box and be fine. Might be a little louder, but no tune difference.

A later 2.5 plastic air box works well, i cut one down a bit to work with a 1" spacer. if you're not running a spacer, the stock one will work fine!

If the float vent signal is from the airbox it won't effect jetting as much as if the vent signal is from outside the box..
