First time replacing the water pump on my Sportmaster. What kit do I need to buy to replace the whole assembly? I'm finding lots of different versions online and want to make sure I get the right one.

Go to a Mercury dealer and give them your ser number, not a fan of aftermarket in High Perf applications.

Water tube size needs to be known, 1/2" or 3/4"?

And sit down when you price a 3/4" upper.

And as long as your this far, I'd replace the base assembly so you have new drive shaft seals, $33, one of Merc's reasonably priced items

Somewhere on this site there a direction how to drill out the 1/2 housing to 3/4 and save a boat load of money, that’s what I did

Thanks for the responses. It already has a 3/4 tube. I'll call local dealer tomorrow. What am I looking at as far as price?

Unless you've sucked up sand or something, and your housing looks ok I'd put a impeller and a new base like I said, and call it good.
