Jack Russel Terrier they were bred for fox hunting , He is a graduate from the Humane Society in Naples before that a shelter in LaBelle Fl. nobody wanted him because he was branded as a biter /barker he is both.

He trains humans with ease only hears what he wants to, he Does have real hearing issues besides his hearing selectivity issue, he is better with hand signals, as soon as he gets in the truck he starts to shake uncontrollably 100 times a second ,some times for long periods of time ? he LOVEs truck rides he goes with me for hours and barks when I leave , the only time he does the shake thing , makes me sad looking at him try to calm him but... he does not give up he knows one command very well stay.
if he sees me wake up to go to the bathroom at night he will follow me , he follows me around all the time, he is so unique in everything he does.

Got a Golden that will out run anything thrown, BUT keeps on going to see the "peoples"! Loves meeting people!

CUDA, sounds like y'all are a good match. Love hearing about stories like yours. Great to see a dog given a chance with the right person.

I've been trying to find a breed that would work with my limited mobility and not be one of those dogs women carry in their purse.

I also have a Rat terrier a great American breed ,nice personality thou they can be very active .

Do as I do I go shelter hunting , I saw a baby Jack last week at the county shelter , wife said no puppys .:nonod:

I could have 20 dogs , most of the dogs in the shelter a Pit Bull mixes , Wife only wants small dogs now. Sad

When I moved west coast 24 years ago, had a rescue Shep/dob mixed. Turned into as real sweetheart. But getting old and arthritic back end. Picked up a rescue Golden only year old, and the old girl woke up as "that pup got nothing on me" Lasted 2 more years! But "Dusty, the GR"? You could NOT toss a tennis ball in the water far enough! She'd go after it woofing and "left a wake"! Then started running down the launch dock and dive and "gonna get that SOB". She would ride along side me on the HD, and the corvette here private HOA. But the funniest thing is when I had a glow in the dark Frisbee. Had a M/T lot in front me, and toss it at night! She always caught it but always flipped up covering her eyes! Running all over and had to call here "Here". And on we go! Had to put her down at 9 with a belly fulla cancer. Sad day, still is. But dogs "make our life"....

Charlie loves it. You get it out and his ears are up and he is ready to go!!! The rings are made of about the same foam as Crocks are. The ring I started with still flies, just with a few bite marks. :D

And yea, if you have a bad rotator cuff..... It is the $hit!!!
