Crazy Idea???

I saw a add for a strap on keel pad for the squirt boats and I'm wondering if that idea could be taken a little further and made into a complete strap on pad for V bottom boats the leading edge might be a little tough to seal but i don't see it being imposible it would have to be made out of some kind of hard but flexable foam coated and reinforced strapped to the bow eye and the two stern lifting rings and of course pulled really tight .

My first thought would be what would happen if that sucker came loose while you were runnin' fast. Seems like it'd be a blade at the very best and a barrel roll at the worst. I believe if I was gonna do it I'd attach it permanently.

If I had time, I would make an aireated pad that the rear section moved fore and aft with an old trim cylinder.
