I recently landed an insurance policy for my 23 Eliminator.
A contact at Skater boats hooked me up with Tanah at "Wozencraft ins" full value boat and trailer coverage, 500,000 liability, medical, personal items, towing, etc for under $400/ year.
I was truthful on application for boat speeds and type. Policy states 23 Eliminator Tunnel.
Feel free to contact me for Tanah contact info.

i am afraid that $400 is a function more of the low value of your boat than the performance. they wanted about 4k annually for my new 28 speedster with twin 400's. i found another company with same coverage for $2750. Still too much for "wacker" fishing motors IMO.

My Eliminator in a 88 with twin Johnson 225 v6
It's all relative.. 400 is better than average from the previous 5 company's that ended up with denial because of tunnel hull.
They gave me excellent coverage for what I paid and replacement value.
Liability was my main concern....i know $500,000 is not much but it's something.

I can imagine that a new 28 of anything would be a little spend.
Wozencraft quoted you 4k ?

The fact you got decent insurance is a start. Now go for a separate umbrella liability policy to top up the liability to a few million.

Umbrella is cheap. Raising liability limits on everything high enough to qualify for umbrella is expensive!

Exactly but depending on your situation it may be worth the expense.

I wad denied on all the other insurance companies because of tunnel hull and was only getting 300,000 liability for the same premium.
I'm going to check both ways, raising liability and u.brella.
I'm locked in now even though season doesn't start till May

Yep, the first question asked is this Miami/Dade. You say yes and they hang up unless it’s a big boat.

Strike 1 - Fast boat
Strike 2 - Under 26’
Strike 3 - South Florida (or for many companies just Florida)
