Use an I/O pump or 24 volts to pump motor or both.

when using the I/O pump, is the wiring and plumbing all the same?

Wiring is the same. Might have to do some fitting changes for the hoses.
If you have a Mercury trim pump in the boat now and going to a Mercruiser trim pump you should be able to swap out fittings.

Post pic of the pump, you might already have a mercruiser style pump and just need to wire for 24v

Might be wise to see if the "up" spring in the bypass is sacked out and hemorrhaging . Simple adjustment does wonders . If that's not fast enough , the channels are pretty small in the valve body . Don't get to drill happy to fast .... you'll be threadin and jettin . :)

Run the trim on 24 volts with an IO pump. It will be very fast then.

Thanks for the info. Do you know where I might obtain a diagram for 24 volt wiring and is it OK top run my 12 volt motor at 24 volts?

Here is every thing you will need to know about the pumps.
There are different gear sets in the pumps for different GPM flow.

Anychance you have the same for a Johnsons pump ?

This is what you want to do. 24V up trim only from trim timer. You do not want 24v trim full time.

I ran dual blinker type trim on the wheel. Left side trim was 24 up and 12 down, right side had 12 up and 12 down.
