Just received one from Vance Manufacturing and very impressive. They have them rated for 225, 300 and 400 horsepower with different setbacks. Very well made.

There are also good ones from Bob’s Machine Shop who is a vender on this site.

Many different manufacturers of them out there with a pretty wide range of sizes and pricing.

To get a jacking capability you have to have some set back by design and function.

Set back moves your cg rearward in the boat. Some boats this is a good thing or a bad thing.

For instance with more set back does that equal less bow lift? Haw does the church affect the boats attitude? Thx

More set back is usually more bow lift.

The “church” will come into play as the bow lift increases and your need to pray!

X2 on the Vance jack Plates. Im a Distributor for them. They use nothing but Mil Spec Military Grade Aluminum and hardware.

The Hydro-Dynamics Rapid Jack Magnum series will also accommodate V8s. Good quality also and really good customer service.

Does anyone know who (if anyone) makes a 2" plate?

3” is the thinnest I’ve seen. Figuring you need enough room for mounting bolts and something to do the jacking. When you add the material to make the jack itself I think 3”’ is going to be it.
