3l TMaster gen 1 vs gen 2 ?

Any differences other than that wing thing on the gen 2 ? Which is better to cone for my little xb03 heavy fishin boat ? I had a gen 1 on my 250 pro xs, but sold that boat, but i am replacing my 2.5 with a 250xb on my Ally and just starting to look for a l/u. Tks.

Gen. 2 l/u,s have upgrades in parts,most importantly the pinion gear is twice as large as gen. 1,s. it,s the size of an alpha dr. pinion. they feel squirellier than old l/u,s when you first run them. but you get used to it quickly. also I must add i,ve only run these to 90 mph. I can,t see them running over 100 mph. they are too short. has anyone on this site taken a gen. 2 over 100 mph.
