My cousin has 2.4 200. We r having a rough idle on bottom end. Carbs have been gone thru numerous times has new ccms reeds. Motor runs good top end but bottom end is rough ? Is this a stator prob. We have swapped switch boxes and coils also? Thanks for any info

its loading up through the bleed lines.
all the v6 carbed engines do this.
put restrictors in bleed lines, don't idle below 1000 rpms any more than necessary.
keep it trimmed up when idling so exhaust ports are above water line.
fiber reeds usually help some.
use a prop with vent holes or over the hub prop.

Thanks for input but it's acting strange it's almost missing below 1500. Motor used not do it at all then gradually started this. If u run it on the muffs and try rev it little it tries keep goin. Don't like to come back to idle. All timing n spec

Take your timing light while at idle, put on all plug wires, if one bank is not firing at idle, I would say you have a low speed winding on the stator being you've already swapped coils and switch boxes

Low end on stator sounds bad.. test voltage while idling at switch box red and blue wires sounds like low side bad on stator, if it totally cleans up after 1500rpm best to test stator on bench by its self with volt meter set on oms

Some times the light will show fire on all 6 with this issue but if you look at the light closely you will find that one hole side blinks a lil bit off pattern very very minor.. if you watch it long enough at idle you might see a difference. . But bad low side on stator is my guess good luck....

Has a complete and correct link and sync been done. If the throttle plates on one or more carbs are open at idle they can run very rich. After link and sync is done if idle speed adjustment is needed do NOT use the idle stop screw to adjust speed. Set idle speed with pick up (idle) timing screw.

Thanks for all info link and sync is good and I was already thinking stator goin after a stator and will update thanks

If u run it on the muffs and try rev it little it tries keep goin. Don't like to come back to idle.

Check to make sure trigger wires move easily and confirm throttle plates are fully closed. I have seen trigger wires bind and not allow motor to return to idle. An air leak will also allow motor to rev after trigger returns.
