'89 200XP lower issues...

Tore into my lower last night, hoping to nosecone and do a re-seal, but found milkshake & trashed pinion/fwd gears.
Turns out it's a SEI unit and I have no warranty.. I've read discussions regarding the durability of SEI products, and folks always default to "3 year warranty" .... so my question...

Do I send the SEI housing off to Bob's for a nosecone then rebuild what I have...or purchase a reman OEM unit (and have it noseconed).

Opinions appreciated....

A side note, if somebody has a nice Lightning gearcase, please yell...

Dont bother adding a nosecone to surface a SEI unit. It wont hold up is the popular oppinion with thoes SEI units. Keep it burried and it will last but not jacked up on a performance application
