Sold the 8" Panther electric scissor jack & 5" solid extension and went to a manual 12" Plate.......

I was afraid to continue to run the 8" plate with another 5" extension for a total of 13" SB. I'm gonna miss the push button jacking though.........

This bad boy is solid........

She can run as deep as 4" under to as high as 2" above the pad now........

Motor ready to be picked up from the machine shop, 1 new 0.15 over piston, other holes honed, new rings & boyesen reeds goin back in...........

I'll cut the heads to 135-140 lbs, boyesen 7 petal reeds, G-force tuner, and a fresh powerhead.......

I think part of my problem before was uncontrolable chinewalk @ 70.....I believe that was due mostly to the combination of two incompatible plates AND a scissor type jack in 2' chop......
She runs fastest in nice rough chop with no wakes.

Here's my beast before surgery.......

Two more inches is night and day no bs I tried 8, 12, 14, & 16" on mine!!!

Can the Broad tail or at least saw the left side flush with the cavatation plate the prop spray (rooster tail) lifts the stern.

8 or 10 petal cages even when mounted in a 14 petal front half will have noticably more bottom end & mid range power without loosing any top end power in engines running 7500rpms or less.

I have proven this to myself by doing same day back to back tests on both 2.4s & 2.5s

Changing only the intake & and also comparing manifolds with or without cross drilling.
Personaly I like cross drilled intakes on my stuff (but I also like playing with every hole tube jet & orface in any carburetor) you know the obsessive compulsive competive thing

Nothin' worse than gettin' whipped by a V-4......an OMC- V-4:eek:
I'll tell ya what? How 'bout if we race accross Sarasota Bay @ 75 in 2'-3' chop? If he can whip me then, I'll buy an OMC:D ;) :p

badjohnny......I'm running the original quicksilver (rideguide) dual rack .........works fine for me. I just adjust one cable in and one cable out so there's a hair of tension on each when static to eliminate any possible slack. The cables are 14' 6" but just barely reach 13" of setback (had to use cable a stretcher) I would go with 15' cables for dual rack system.

novalves.......I believe it! These things LOVE setback. I'm planning on padding the bottom after the season so I'll keep her @ 12" for now.......besides my cables are not long enough to jack her up centershaft after I pad the boat and cone the nose @ 14".

Here's my pad model:D
