Anyone try to cone a 5.44 or 4.8 verado lower???

Wondering if anyone's attempted to cone the verados L6 or L4 gearcase? Cheaper alternative to buying new sportys... extremely hard to find used sportys for those motors lol

Havnt priced em out yet, I just ordered a standard 5.44 gearcase for around 8 k Canadian a few weeks back, thinking a cone would be a way cheaper option (I work for a merc dealership) a lot easier finding a sporty for a 2.5 lol
