Donzi copy build

I'm building a copy of a 16' Donzi, should come in about 750 lbs for bare hull. Power will probably be 175 XS. The plans have no pad and the boats are known for rolling around on their almost round bottom. I'm looking for a comfortable ride at about 50, not absolute top end but want it to run hard too.Would appreciate some help in pad design, don't want to have to balance it at cruising speed. I guess I want the perfect boat but also know there isn't one. Thanks for your help.

My 16 ft Allison has a 10 in wide pad I can drive it with one hand and balancing it takes very little effort.

How long is the pad and what's it like with 12-18" of chop?

Find you a 17ft Bullet bass boat and copy the pad. It`s perfect.
